Visit of Prof Brian Taylor

Professor Brian Taylor of the University of Ulster (Northern Ireland) was hosted at the Family Research Center on 15th-19th October, 2019. Prof. Taylor is a renowned expert in social work practice and teaching with 10 years of experience as a practitioner and manager, and 15 years of training and development of organizations in the field of health and social care. Prof. Brian Taylor is affiliated with: the Academy of Social Sciences of Great Britain as a fellow; the Harding Centre for Risk Literacy at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin as an honorary Associate Scientist; and the School for Social Care Research at the National Institute for Health Research, London as an honorary Senior Fellow. He was a founding member of the European Social Work Research Association (ESWRA) Board.
The presence of Professor Taylor at the Center for Family Research was an opportunity to exchange experiences and tap into his vast knowledge of the field of social work. Professor Taylor talked about the level of research and solutions used in social work in Ireland as well as ongoing projects and research. Hopefully,  the center will collaborate with the kind professor in another project soon.
